Monday Motivation: 5.27.25 - 50/50
For anything you choose to do in life, you have a 50/50 chance of being successful at it.
That’s the mindset you need to bring into anything you start. There’s always a reasonable chance of success, and there’s one critical variable that will determine the outcome: you.
Success is determined by whether you’ll stick with it. Given enough time at anything—paired with enthusiasm, simple strategies, and consistent effort—you will succeed. Where you are today isn’t a reflection of where you’ll be tomorrow. You have a choice in the matter.
If you’re reading this newsletter, you already have the knowledge, skills, and life experience to reshape history. People have done more with far less. There was a time when reading, writing, and basic algebra were privileges reserved for the wealthiest classes. That’s the class you’re in today.
Now, I know someone’s thinking, “Well, sticking with something isn’t always a conscious choice. What if I get sick? Or run out of money? Or die? Or something else?”
Sure—life happens. But at the core, it still comes down to this: you stopped for a reason. And that’s okay. We learn from both success and failure.
The vast majority of success is determined by how committed you are to staying in the race. Notice the phrase: staying in the race. You don’t have to win on Day 1. Just aim to survive. Winning comes by staying in the game long after others have dropped out.
Start something great today. After all, you have a 50/50 chance of changing the world if you do.
