The Truth is Sometimes Counterintuitive
I don't know how I didn't run into this fact earlier, but this is an important mathematical discovery...
Here's a useful counterintuitive fact: one 18 inch pizza has more 'pizza' than two 12 inch pizzas pic.twitter.com/hePSpG0pJs

I did the math on this several times over and still couldn't believe the result 🤯.
This is a reminder that in life, the Truth is sometimes counterintuitive.
The act of quantifying your beliefs may very well change what you actually believe. Run the numbers. Check them. Adjust accordingly. 🧮
P.S. The corollary to this is that you get more crust with two 12" pizzas versus one 18" pizza. If you like crust the most, two 12" pizzas gets you 33% more.
Yeah, but the crust is arguably the best part and two 12 inch pizzas have 33.3% more crust than a 18 inch pizza. And now I'm hungry, thanks @fermatslibrary! pic.twitter.com/ZUfGicpcWG
