Q4 Intention Setting

I was challenged by Eric Partaker's Newsletter to pause for a moment and answer a few powerful questions to help me crush Q4. See below for the questions and my answers.

I figured this might inspire you to do the exercise for yourself along with the accountability it provides me.

1) What were your top 3 wins in 2025 so far, and why?

  • Made first hires this year for my business and it's been a game changer to improve the way I can serve people. It's been eye opening also to see what needs to be standardized and documented.
  • Invested in coaching to help me focus my business niche and show up more powerfully as a leader for my team and my clients.
  • Held the What's Free Brotherhood Retreat for the 5th year. I always get more than I give from the weekend learning with my fellow men. It's nice to continue to build out the community.

2) What were your biggest challenges, and what did you learn?

  • My biggest challenge was accepting my deficiencies. I can't do it all and more hours won't 10x what I'm building. I have to rely on others to make this vision come through, especially in the areas outside of my strengths.

3) What unfinished business needs to be closed in Q4?

  • I desperately need to update my marketing and systemize how people will find me. This requires clarity in what I do, who I do it for, and the outcomes I produce.

4) If you were replaced as CEO tomorrow, what would your successor immediately start and stop doing?

  • My successor would start with more outreach about my business. They'd lean heavily into marketing to get in front of more people and expand my partner network to handle things outside of my core expertise.
  • My successor would stop trying to trying to learn everything and focus on driving outcomes in my current areas of expertise (income management, global diversification of investments, positioning protection for families, increasing the value of a business by treating it as an asset vs. income)

5) If you had to achieve your 10-year plan in 6 months, what bold moves would you make?

  • In 10 years, I want to manage $1B of income for families. The bold move I would make if I had to do it in 6 months would be to start my own RIA and start a YouTube channel/ podcast where I'd have less of a compliance hurdle to overcome in presenting information to the general public.

6) What are your top 3 goals for Q4, and what’s the #1 obstacle standing in the way of each?

  • Goal 1: Close $100k of business this quarter.

Hurdle: Holding clients accountable to what they say they want to do in the timeline they set.

  • Goal 2: Update my marketing by doing more workshops and honing in on updated messaging on how I deliver value.

Hurdle: Getting my ebook and website updates through compliance in a timely fashion.

  • Goal 3: Get 4 dates in with just me and the wife. We've fallen off on this front and need to create some space to ease out of our work/parent routine more often.

Hurdle: Energy. Date night often means less sleep as we often get back in later than my desired bedtime. It throws off the routine so we have to find a way to color in between the lines so the schedule doesn't have to shift the next day.

That's me, now it's your turn.

Answer the questions for yourself and let's crush Q4 together!
