Monday Motivation: 5.20.24 - Snake Bitten

My therapist once told me: "Imagine being bitten by a snake and instead of trying to help yourself heal and recover from the poison, you are trying to catch the snake to find out the reason it bit you and prove to it that you didn't deserve that."

Trust me, I felt the same way you did when I first read this.

It took me back to all those times I’d been snake-bitten, wasting precious energy trying to reason with the snake instead of focusing on healing and moving on.

We’ve all been snake-bitten, and it will happen again.

Don’t chase the snake.

Heal and move on.
