We Lost Another One Too Soon

With the untimely passing of Michael K. Williams yesterday, probably most famous for his portrayal of Omar on The Wire, the world mourns.

It’s funny how you can feel so close to someone you’ve never met or interacted with but even still, their spirit and energy fills up space in your life. Michael K. was one of those people for me.

There are a lot of tributes, old interviews, and puff pieces going around to honor his legacy, but one tweet stood out to me:

Michael K. Williams was a beautiful spirit and his presence had a way of allowing us all to see more of the true beauty in ourselves.

A toast to a life well lived, gone too soon, but never to be forgotten. 🙏
