I learned these and 23 other Black industry facts from this amazing Buzzfeed article.

You'll definitely enjoy it and learn something you didn't know before.

Kevin Hart on Sacrifice, Success & Never Allowing Mistakes to Overshadow Purpose | The Pivot Podcast

Kevin Hart is more than funny. He's a sharp businessman and someone that is dedicated to getting better. He recently sat down with The Pivot Podcast lead by former NFL players Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder to talk about his life, career, and new hobbies.

This was a refreshing conversation because he leaned more into his business mindset and life lessons versus focusing on the funny (there's plenty of that still though).

Watch the full interview here [1 hr 7 mins].

Bonus: On his show Hart to Heart, he interviewed Jay-Z. It's also one of the best things that you'll watch if you haven't checked it out yet. Jay-Z never disappoints when it comes to dropping knowledge. See here (note, I can't find the official link so this one may be disabled soon).

I read 300 self-improvement books to learn these 3 lessons...

I like being aware so I've read more self-help books than your average person. This guy has read over 300 (so he says) and pulled out these three incredible lessons:

  1. Stop Waiting (done is better than perfect, you don't need exoneration)
  2. Self-Reliance (overcome learned helplessness)
  3. Forgiveness (of others and of oneself)

The video helps explain these lessons in more detail. Watching this worth the 13 mins of life no matter where you are on your journey of awareness.

Full video here [13 mins]

Leave today better than yesterday ✌️.

P.S. Beyoncé dropped. Yes it's good. Other albums to check out are Give or Take by Giveon (vibes), Mood Variant (The Remixes) by Hiatus Kaiyote (vibes x2), or just put the single Never End Up Broke by Symba on repeat (he's up next).

Parent Corner (lessons from raising a small human)

There's multiple swaddle techniques to master based on the size and type of material you're using to swaddle.

For smaller swaddle blankets (like the ones you find in the hospital), go with a traditional swaddle.

For larger blankets with stretchier material, I've found that the square swaddle technique works better (aka the parent wrap).

Note that as I'm typing this my child has broken free of her swaddle (she's really baby Houdini). Let me run off to lock her down again lol.
